La Carbonera, is also known as "Tochecito" or "Bosque de Palmas de Cera" and has the same attractions as Valle de Cocora but multiplied by 6. There everything is bigger, natural and better preserved, besides that there you can enjoy of the densest wax palm forest in Colombia. The ascent is a bit difficult and can only be done in a 4×4 Camper type vehicle which we have at your disposal so that you can live the best adventure with the best of landscapes.
Rural Adventure Expedition to Carbonera
ITINERARY
The adventure begins in the Salento park, where you will board a Camper-type 4x4 vehicle bound for the famous "Carbonera" or "forest of palms" located in the Municipality of Cajamarca, Tolima, during the trip of approximately 18 kilometers we will make a stop in order to have a snack, as well as enjoy the beautiful landscapes that the central mountain range of the Andes offers us. Upon reaching our destination, "La Carbonera" we will make a journey of approximately 3 kilometers (Duration from 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours), in the middle of the palm forest, then we will have lunch to later return to Salento .
