ITINERARY
🌋 Adventure to Nevado del Ruiz: Nature, history and hot springs in a single day
We meet very early, at 4:30 am in Pereira or Dosquebradas , 5:00 am in Santa Rosa , and 6:00 am in Manizales , ready to embark on an unforgettable journey to the realm of the imposing Nevado del Ruiz volcano . Our 4x4 vehicle will take us through breathtaking Andean landscapes, stopping for a hearty breakfast while we admire the sunrise.
📸 We continue with a visit to the mysterious Laguna Negra , ideal for capturing spectacular photos before entering the Los Nevados National Natural Park , where we will register, receive the guide's induction and an environmental interpretation of the high mountain ecosystem.
🚙 Aboard the vehicle, we explore the park on a tour with four strategic stops , where you'll learn about climate change, geology, and life in extreme conditions. The longest hike takes place in the Valley of the Tombs , a mere 500 meters long, ideal for those seeking a mountain experience without strenuous physical exertion.
🍽️ We finished with a delicious lunch and, as a grand finale, a relaxing bath in natural hot springs , perfect to end the day with renewed energy and a heart full of mountain spirit.

Why is it NOT possible to touch snow on our tour to Nevado del Ruiz?
Nevado del Ruiz, one of Colombia's most iconic glaciers, has lost much of its snow cover due to accelerated glacial retreat caused by climate change. Currently, access is regulated by Los Nevados National Natural Park, and for environmental and safety reasons, the tourist route only goes as far as the Valley of the Tombs (Altitude 4,450 meters above sea level / Average temperature -2°C).
Although it's no longer possible to touch the snow, this tour offers a powerful experience of connecting with the high mountains and a deep understanding of how the climate is transforming our ecosystems. Walking this trail is to witness climate change in action firsthand.
RESERVATION CONDITIONS
- RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE AT LEAST EIGHT (8) OR FIVE (5) DAYS IN ADVANCE, BECAUSE THE ENTRY PERMIT MUST BE PROCESSED WITH NATIONAL PARKS.
