Dare to visit the "house of the bees," a beautiful site where you'll learn about the work of these pollinators up close and their importance in the ecosystem and food production. This fun adventure is also an educational experience for people of all ages, where we'll raise awareness about the importance of protecting these insects, which are essential to life on Earth, their importance in pollinating plants and crops, and the issues facing bees today, such as habitat loss, pesticide use, and climate change.
Rural Adventure Bee Tour
ITINERARY
The tour begins at Filandia Park, where we will pick you up in a jeep to head to the "bee house." Upon arrival, you will receive an introductory briefing and learn about the safety recommendations and protocols to follow during the tour while you enjoy a delicious snack. We will then put on our beekeeping suits (protective equipment: face shield, gloves, overalls, and boots) and head to the apiary, where we will be able to interact with the bee hives, observe how the bees collect pollen and nectar, produce honey, and care for the queen. You will also learn about the social organization of bees and how they work together in the hive to keep it clean and safe. Of course, you will be able to take all the photos and videos you want while interacting with the bees. Our host will always be willing to answer any questions and concerns you may have regarding these beautiful pollinators. Finally, your host will provide us with a delicious drink to refresh ourselves before taking the jeep back to Filandia.

The tour includes one of these souvenirs per person. If you don't wish to purchase them, you will receive a discount of 25,000 COP per person.
TRANSPORT
- If you have your own vehicle, you can arrive directly to the farm and receive a $70,000 COP discount for arriving on your own. Rural Adventure will send you the Google Maps location via chat so you can get there without any problems. The road is suitable for all types of vehicles, even those not off-road vehicles. The distance from Filandia is 10 km (approximately 40 minutes on a dirt road) and from Ulloa (Valle) 5 km (approximately 15 minutes on a 4 km paved road and 1 km on a dirt road).
