Coffee Tour Agua Bonita from Rural Adventure ITINERARY
We will depart in a Jeep from the Immaculate Conception Church in the municipality of Filandia where we will head to Vereda La Morelia, Finca Agua Bonita, 5 kilometers away, where 1.5 kilometers are on the central road (paved) and 3.5 kilometers are on an unpaved road (unpaved), where the host will be waiting to welcome us with a refreshing traditional or coffee lemonade.
Then we will move on to the coffee crops, using the collecting baskets made of natural fibers. Once there, we will learn about the coffee planting, harvesting, and maintenance processes. After harvesting, we will move on to the processing process, where we will depulp the harvested coffee and learn about the washing, sorting, and drying processes.
On our final leg of the tour, we'll learn about the artisanal roasting process, thresh parchment coffee, roast the threshed beans, grind the beans, and make our own cup of coffee using a traditional filtering process. Finally, we'll enjoy an excellent cup of coffee made by ourselves before returning to the meeting point.
