It is an experience where you will learn to make a typical product of COLOMBIA such as corn arepa, which is a practice typical of the rural and urban areas of the coffee growing region, the region and various parts of the country.

You will learn with us through this gastronomic experience, which ranges from cooking, grinding, kneading, assembling and roasting corn, to tasting it from your home, after learning how to prepare it with us, as well as flaming it with traditional products such as butter, cheese and hogao (which we will also teach you how to prepare), and a delicious hot chocolate as a drink.

You can share from your home and with your family, the satisfaction of having participated in its preparation like a local.

Kneading Traditions by Rural Adventure 

Live this incredible experience "On Line" which takes place in a typical Palmichal farm in the coffee region, located specifically in the Municipality of Filandia, Quindío Department; where we begin the experience in the courtyard of the farm, where we will recount the generalities of the coffee region and the local gastronomy, we will explain about the cult of corn, its importance in local gastronomy and the varieties found in the country, and its different uses in Colombian gastronomy. Highlighting the arepa as a fundamental companion of meals, especially at breakfast time.


You can live the experience as a simple spectator or enhance it in a parallel way from your home. For this, we will invite you to turn on the stove or grill, (a fundamental aspect of the experience to grill the arepa on the grill). It continues, passing to the place where the grinding machine is, narrating its traditional use and the leading role in the families of the Colombian countryside.

Finally, we will talk with the visitors for a few moments in order to know the impressions of the experience while we enjoy what has been prepared (In case you have decided to actively participate in the preparation from your home).
