Since 2017, a conservation strategy was established and entry requirements to the protected area were defined, such as the accompaniment of an Environmental Interpreter and coverage by a medical policy. Los Frailes Waterfalls by Rural Adventure
ITINERARY
Upon arriving at Finca Buenos Aires, we will register and wait for the group to assemble, then the designated guide will give us a brief introduction about the Yarumo Blanco association and sustainable practices, then we will do some stretches before starting the walk to the waterfall During the tour we will appreciate the local flora and fauna with the accompaniment and interpretation of specialized guides, taking breaks and strategic stops to enjoy the landscape while they tell us about the geography and biodiversity of the area. After 2.5 km of travel we will arrive at the impressive Los Frailes Waterfall, where we will have free time to enjoy the surroundings and take some spectacular photographs, then we will receive an informative talk about the importance of the local ecosystem and a detailed explanation about the waterfall and its relevance in the region. Finally, we will return to the meeting point to enjoy a picnic or lunch prepared with local products and sustainable practices.
RECOMMENDATIONS AND RESTRICTIONS

- If you take any medication, don't forget to bring them.
- It is advisable to use repellent and sunscreen.
- Wear high-top shoes or plastic boots, bring a change of clothes and shoes .
- Wear warm clothes as the area is cold and rainy, bring a change of clothes.
- Bring a coat, raincoat or umbrella.
- Bring a camera and binoculars if you have them.
- Bring a bottle of water or a thermos to refill water.
- Bring a plastic bag for waste and wet clothes, we do not sell bags.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Do not bring prepared foods.

HOW TO GET TO THE WATERFALLS?
1 OPTION: BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION (CHIVA TYPE)
In Plaza Victoria on 17th Street, the Transporte Florida company sends the route: LA FLORIDA - LA SUIZA - EL CEDRAL:
Hours: Monday to Friday (9:00 am). Saturday, Sunday and Holidays (7:00 am) and (9:00 am), ask the driver's assistant to tell you the exact point where you should get off the chiva after crossing the La Switzerland path.
The meeting point is at the Finca Buenos Aires, a green and white house, La Switzerland path via Pez Fresco.
Note: The route is signposted to facilitate your arrival.
2 OPTION: BY PERSONAL VEHICLE
Always arrive at Plaza Victoria in the center of Pereira, then take the 10th road for 17 km, this route will take you to the La Switzerland path through the La Florida district, the last 6 km are unpaved roads in fair condition, drive with caution. Caution, do not use Waze or Google Maps as it will make you lose the route. One (1) km after the La Switzerland path, find a detour on the left via Pez Fresco. Take that detour and 200 meters away you will find the green and white Finca Buenos Aires just after the bridge over the Otún River.
