This is a tour through the Diamante farm, where you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the history and agricultural tradition of our region and our family. If you are a lover of chocolate, coffee, bananas and nature, if you want to learn how cocoa is produced on a coffee farm, if you want to experience all the textures, flavors and aromas that can be obtained from these wonderful fruits, this tour is for you.

Here you will be in direct contact with nature, you will learn about our sustainable production proposal that combines traditional crops such as coffee, banana, cocoa and guadua; you will also learn about the artisanal production and transformation process to obtain chocolate, a drink of great nutritional and historical importance.

You will also have the opportunity to see how the best quality beans are produced and you will learn about our quality laboratory and chocolate production. You will visit our typical TINTO & GUARO inn, where the most delicious coffee and cocoa-based drinks are prepared.

Rural Adventure's El Diamante Estate

ITINERARY

The tour begins in the municipality of Filandia where we will pick you up in a jeep heading to the El Diamante Cocoa Farm located in the municipality of Quimbaya where the host will be waiting for us to welcome us with a hot chocolate (Cup of chocolate in milk or water and pandebono), while telling us the story of the family tradition, then we will begin the tour along the cocoa trail between coffee plantations, where he will give us an induction on the generalities of the production of the specialty cocoa crop, and everything related to the process of benefit, demonstration and practical processing of artisanal cocoa (100% artisanal cocoa bars, roasted on a wood stove prepared by visitors). Finally, we will enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner based on cocoa + Italian coffee drink (If you book the tour with lunch) and then we will take you back to Filandia and conclude the tour.

“Chicken Bread” MENU

Starter : Vegetable soup with plantain chips.

Main Course: Chicken roll stuffed with cheese and spinach, bathed in chocolate sauce, white rice, fried arepita, spinach salad with lettuce, peanuts and cocoa nibs with cream vinaigrette.

Drink: Traditional Lemonade

Optional MENU for children:

Chicken Nuggets: Chicken nuggets with gratin French fries and quail eggs + traditional lemonade.

Salchipapa: Sausages with gratin French fries and quail eggs + traditional lemonade.

TRANSPORTATION SERVICE

If you have your own vehicle or wish to arrive by public transport, you can go directly to the farm and you can get a group discount of $100,000 COP for arriving on your own.

1. Private Transportation Rented or Own: Rural Adventure will send you the Google Maps location via chat so you can get there without any problems. The road is 100% paved and allows the arrival of all types of vehicles. The distance from Filandia is 14 km (approximately 25 minutes) and 2.7 km from Quimbaya (approximately 8 minutes).

2. Public Transport: Rural Adventure will send you the Google Maps location via chat and will tell you how to get to the Finca Cacaotera by bus from Filandia or Quimbaya.

TOURISM FOR EVERYONE​​

This tour is partially accessible to people with physical disabilities and/or reduced mobility since they CANNOT do the hike, but they CAN have the beneficial and transformative experience.
